WHAT I'VE GOT MY TODDLER FOR EASTER 2018
With Easter right around the corner I thought I would share with you what I have bought for E this year. She tends to get quite a bit of chocolate from our relatives so I try to keep the amount of chocolate I buy her to a minimum and try to come up with some alternative ideas from us. This is what I have bought her this year:
- Easter colouring set from The Works £1 - I like to buy a few craft type bits to do over the long weekend.
- Bunny Ears headband from Home Bargains 59p
- Easter stickers from Home Bargains 49p
- Egg Hunt game by Orchard Games from Sainsburys £5 - We love Orchard games so when I saw this cute Easter one I had to buy it! These travel size ones are great for taking out and about on holidays, out for meals etc.
- Dora The Explorer Easter DVD from Amazon £2.95
- 2 x Peppa Pig Mashems from Sainsburys £3.50 each - What is the fascination with Mashems?! E is obsessed with them! I hate them as they get covered in fluff after 5 seconds of play but I know she will be thrilled to find these in her Easter bag!
- Bush Baby World Blossoms from Sainsburys £9 - E received a couple of Bush Babies for Christmas and loves them so when I saw the new Blossom range I just had to buy her one. I chose Bluebelle and I think the colours and flower pattern are perfect for spring time. She will be so excited to find this in her Easter bag.
- White Chocolate Bunny lolly from Sainsburys £1
- Mini chocolate bunnies from Aldi £1.49
These will all go in an Easter gift bag which I am yet to buy! I’ve done Easter baskets in the past but find them a bit of a pain to store for the rest of the year so I am going to stick to an Easter gift bag this year.
We are seeing family on the Sunday so I have bought two games for the children to play. One is an egg and spoon race kit from Sainsburys for £5 which comes with plastic spoons and eggs and little bean bag eggs to go inside. This looks like a great one to keep and use year after year. And who doesn't love an egg and spoon race?! I’m sure there will be a few competitive adults giving it a go too! The second game I purchased is a pin the tail on the bunny set from Home Bargains for 99p. I thought this was a really cute concept. I’ve not taken it out of the box yet so I'm not sure whether its something which can be used multiple times but I figured for 99p I don't mind if we only use it the once.
And of course Easter wouldn't be Easter without a little easter egg hunt so I purchased this pack of 25 hollow eggs from Sainsburys for £3 which will be plenty for the children to hunt on the Sunday.
I hope this post has given you a few ideas and that you have a lovely Easter if you celebrate
