PLAYMOBIL 123 TAKE ALONG ZOO AND AQUARIUM

I thought that today it would be nice to post about my daughters current favourite toy the ‘Playmobil 123 Take Along Zoo and Aquarium’. She received this as a gift last Christmas and enjoyed playing with it, but her real love for this toy came this summer when we started filling it with water and playing with it in the garden.

She has a water table in the garden so for the first half of the summer it didn't actually occur to me to bring the Playmobil out to play, but one day I really couldn’t muster the energy to empty, clean and re-fill the water table (one of my worst jobs! I’m sure I'm not alone!) and it suddenly occurred to me that her Playmobil set was designed to be used with water. Well, we haven't looked back since! There’s something about playing with the figures in the water that she absolutely loves and the water table no longer gets a look in, which is great for me as the Playmobil is so much easier to empty and clean at the end of the day (Mum win!).
This has now become one of her most requested home activities.

Now that summer is coming to an end and the days are becoming a bit cooler there is obviously the option of playing it indoors without the water element which I have to admit doesn't excite her as much, but I have started laying towels down on the kitchen floor and letting her play with it with a little water indoors too which earns me serious Mummy brownie points but is also still pretty easy to clear away after.

Another great thing about this product is the fact that it’s portable. If you fill the reverse side of the blue section with the animals, etc it then slots nicely into the green section and even has a little handle to carry it with. This makes it easy to take to Nanny's house or away on holiday.

So what do I love about this product?
  1. Sturdy figures which are nice and bright and fairly large so they don't tend to get lost and are great for imaginative play
  2. Very good quality as I have come to expect from Playmobil products
  3. Dries out quickly and are easy to clean
  4. Conveniently portable so great to take away
  5. Fun water play, which is great for the garden, but also a real treat when used indoors

What does my 2 year old think of this product?
Mummy: Do you like this toy?
E: I love it!
Mummy: What do you love about it?
E: When Mummy puts the water in.

All in all, I highly recommend this product and it makes a great birthday or Christmas gift. What’s even better is that it is quite often on offer in places such as Argos and Amazon so it is worth keeping an eye out if you are planning on purchasing. It is currently (11/09/17) just £13.99 in Argos (http://www.argos.co.uk/product/7030602) so I have stocked up on a couple as Christmas presents! Sorry to mention the C word in September but I like to start my Christmas shopping early!

Until next time ..... x
